After reading the the last 7 or 8 on my holiday last year - with volume 12 ending in a real cliffhanger And I do mean cliffhanger I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one!

Yes I really enjoyed it. Alice for some reason is pictured in my head as Saber from Fate/Stay Night, but other than that distraction it was thoroughly enjoyable as an afternoon read.

Unfortunately, and I don't think this is a spoiler, rather a warning, this is not the last of the Alicization light novels in this series, so don't get your hopes up for a satisfying ending just yet! There is at least one more novel in this series, lets just hope Kawahara gets it written in a reasonable time frame.

On a positive note 'Gun Gale Online' Anime has been green lighted - another item on the 'can't wait' list...
